
It’s a case of “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Later versions keep trying to second guess what I want to do or else decide for me what I want to do.

Very importantly, of all the versions of Windows I have used, it is the one I have the most experience of and it is by far and away the nicest to use. It is simply my “home” machine for doing my “home” stuff on.

Firstly, it is on a stand-alone machine and doesn’t have to deal with the Internet.
